Many wonder why Blizzard didn’t include the option to add Diablo 4’s pre-purchase into the Collector’s Box, and think keeping them separate may make people less likely to pick up the collectibles. On the other hand, spending $100 on the Collector’s Edition of Diablo 4 without actually getting the game seems absurd to many players. Regardless, the price of the game and Collector’s Box together is roughly the same as the physical collector’s editions of most AAA games. Additionally, it allows players to jump right into Diablo 4, rather than risk delays due to shipping, especially considering the game is purely digital anyway.

Doing so allows players to choose which edition of Diablo 4 they wish to pre-purchase in conjunction with the Collector’s Box. On one hand, it actually makes sense not to include Diablo 4 within the Collector’s Box itself. The Ultimate Edition offers a special emote and 20 Tier Skips for the Premium Battle Pass. All three editions contain the base game and several cosmetics for World of Warcraft, Diablo 4, Diablo 3, and Diablo Immortal, while the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions unlock additional cosmetics, Early Access, and Premium Battle Pass access. Players can acquire the Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate editions of Diablo 4 for $70, $90, and $100 respectively. Players interested in the Limited Collector’s Box will need to purchase Diablo 4 through one of these digital options.

That is because Diablo 4 does not have a physical edition–all of its available pre-purchase options are digital only. However, players might notice Diablo 4 itself is not included in the list of goodies in the Limited Collector’s Box.
